The Search For Truth
It seems like society in general in our day is determined to undermine the truth of God's Word. Ideas such as the truth is relative, or there are no absolutes in governing the mind and hearts of many. The more I talk to people when sharing the gospel the more I see this kind of thought. Although it could be a little concerning it should not be discouraging.
The Bible says in John 8:32, "And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
Just as those who have not surrendered to Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, need to hear the truth of the gospel, so are we in the need of listening to the truth of God's Word that has the power to continue a change in our lives. The truth of Go's Word that can help us to be conformed and transformed into the image of Jesus himself.
Philippians 1:6, "And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will perform it and bring it to a perfect completion at the day of Jesus Christ."
We are a work in progress and as long as we continue getting hold of the truth of God's Word He will continue working in and through us for His honor and glory.
These verses are challenging us to keep searching His Word, laboring for Him and not be ashamed of Him. So let's keep listening, receiving, believing, rightly dividing and sharing the truth of His Word until He comes.
