Symbols of the Calendar
Liturgical Colors
White, Red, Green, Purple, Black
Note:
The Catholic Liturgy assigns different ranks to feasts.
On a given day, there may be both a major feast and a lesser feast, such as that of a saint. In general, Sundays take precedence over the feast of a saint occurring on the same day. However, major feasts—such as the Assumption—outrank a Sunday.
For informational purposes, this calendar includes both major and minor feasts. However, please note that the priest, following the Ordo, will celebrate Mass according to the feast of the higher rank for that day.
