The Pope In Red?
It is claimed that Giuseppe Cardinal Siri was elected to the Papacy. Since the claims vary, it is necessary to consider all of the evidence that has been presented over the years to determine whether or not Siri was ever elected Pope. If Siri was elected did he actually accept, or was he prevented from accepting. Four people have interviewed Siri on this question. Three went together for one interview and another had a private interview at a later date. Why the interest in Siri? This is a question that needs an answer. However, let us consider the evidence. Of course, since it has been demonstrated Siri was a heretic, he could not be Pope. Giuseppe Siri, the Archbishop of Genoa was appointed Cardinal in the last consistory of Pope Pius XII. He participated in the elections of Angelo Roncalli as John XXIII, Giovanni Baptiste Montini as Paul VI, Albino Luciani as John Paul I and Karol Wojtyla as John Paul II. Siri served on the presidential committee of Vatican II, which indicates his acceptance of Vatican II as a council of his church. On 18 May, 1985 Louis Hubert Remy, Mr. de la Franquerie Francis Dallais met with Giuseppe Cardinal Siri. According to the report published in various places by Mr. Remy, Siri said: No one has left the conclave. When questioned whether he had been elected in 1963, Siri merely said: I am bound by the secret. One presumes the secret of the conclave. He repeated this twice. In the Spring of 1988 Fr. Peter Tran Van Khoat also known as Fr. Khoat Tran met with Siri to question him about his election in 1963. (Vietnamese place their family name first, followed by their given name, which is why Fr. The above is the only eyewitness testimony. Several since that time are presenting evidence gathered from various places in support of the theory that Giuseppe Siri was elected Pope at one of the conclaves in the last half of the twentieth century? The more recent theory is presented on two websites on the internet, whereas the original theory has not appeared here (until now).
