The First Traditionalist Bishop
Pope Hadrian VII? Notice the picture to the right:
1. Schuckardt is wearing the mozetta, which is an indication that he is a diocesan bishop within his diocese, since ONLY the Local Ordinary may wear the mozetta within his diocese.
2. Shcuckardt is wearing the stole over the mozetta, which is reserved exclusively to the Pope. Bishops remove the mozetta, place a surplice over hte rochet, then assume the stole, if this is required, or wear amice, alb, cincture pectoral cross and then the stole.
