DOCTRINE OF THE PAPACY

This doctrine has been attacked, redefined and outright ignored by almost everyone who claims the name of Catholic from the Vatican II Pog Church to the Traditionalists.  This section of the Vatican In Exile will be devoted to a consideration of all of the Church teachings, especially infallible decrees relating to the various aspects of the Papacy.  In each individual page, the modern errors will also be considered in light of the teachings of the Catholic Church.  Articles at the side were written prior to the preparation of this section and may also be helpful to understanding this most important doctrine.
The Vatican Council in 1869-1870 defined most of the doctrine of the Papacy most aptly, although one question was left undefined, the question of whether or not a Pope can become a heretic as a private person.  This Council did define that it is impossible for a Pope to become a heretic in his official capacity as Pope.  This question will be considered at the end of this discussion in light of the events of the last half a century, as well a Catholic teaching.  The various opinions will be considered and then Catholic doctrine and Canon Law applied to each point to determine whether or not it is valid.
