301 Broadway Belvue
Kennett Bawden purchased this building for the use of David Bawden and a partner in starting a wood working business in 1987. The business was not able to continue, so then the building was empty. In order to make it of some use in the fall of 1989 Kennett Bawden opened a resale shop, which closed shortly before the Papal Election to enable the election to be held there. Will the Catholic Church Survive the Twentieth Century? was published from this location on January 25, 1990.
In the few days prior to the Papal Election some rather nasty messages were left on the answering machine. One of the voices was recognized as a Traditionalist who still lives in the Saint Marys area and is still associated with the Society of Saint Pius X commpound there. The sheriff's department never made any arrests in this vandalism case.
Bawden sold the building in 1994 to another wood shop.
