ROBERT CARDINAL HUNT

Robert Hunt participated in the Papal Election on July 16, 1990.  On January 25, 1999, Pope Michael announced the appointment of Cardinals, appointing Robert Hunt as a Cardinal layman with the main duty of advising the Pope and calling for a Papal Election in the event of the death of Pope Michael.

On July 3, 2008 a messenger arrived from Colorado carrying a letter of resignation from Cardinal Hunt, which was accepted.  It was effective June 29, 2008.  Due to his resignation, his duties to provide for a Papal Election are being transferred.
