Newspaper Articles on the Papal Election
On the day of the Papal Election, The Saint Marys Star in Saint Marys, Kansas contacted the electors seeking information. An interview was given later in the week after the election had occurred.
It should be noted that some of the news media was not favorable, since the election of a True Pope was not desired by The Enemy (i.e. Satan). These are posted, since we know that news of Pope Michael's election went on the international wires, although we do not possess copies of the articles. Copies or links will be posted here, if you contact us with the information.
Also one local TV station covered the election
July 19, 1990, Topeka Capital-Journal It must be noted that the Religion editor was a Modernist.
July 24, 1990, St.Marys Star The St. Mary Star came under influence of the Society of Saint Pius X supporters in the late 1980's. This paper refused to publish an article by Pope Michael (then David Bawden) against the Lefebvre consecrations.
August 7,1990, The Saint Marys Star reports the theft of the Papal Flag from the place of election. The flag has never been returned. One report is that Society of Saint Pius X supporters stole the flag, but this report may not be correct.
