COMMON QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
People often ask questions that have already been asked. We ask all to read through the questions and answers below before contacting the Papal Secretary.
1) In what circumstances was Pope Michael elected?
The Catholic Church was orphaned in 1958 with the death of Pope Pius XII. Before his election Pope Michael wrote a book in 1989 with the help of a journalist, Teresa Benns, called Will the Catholic Church Survive? This book proves that John 23, Paul 6 and JP2 were heretics before their elections, hence were antipopes. This declaration was necessary before proceeding to a papal election. The book also examined all other claims to the papacy at that time and explained why they could not be valid. Using Canon Law and papal documents, the authors demonstrated that in the absence of cardinals and true clergy, the laity are permitted to elect a Pope. Pope Pius XII taught in Mystici Corporis that without a visible head the Church cannot exist, as did Pope Boniface VIII. The Church is indefectible; She cannot not be destroyed. Catholics, therefore, were obligated under pain of mortal sin, even excommunication, to come to Her assistance.
2) Does Pope Michael believe that one day the exile will end, and he will be allowed back to Rome?
We pray only that God's will be done; that is the motto of Pope Michael — fiat voluntas tua. "Where the Pope is, there is the Church." If it be God's will that he return to Rome, so be it. If it be His will that he die in exile, that is what we wish as well. As St. Gerard said, "Whatever God wills, for as long as He wills it."
He is an antipope, a usurper on the throne of St. Peter. He prays for his conversion.
4) Can Catholics who follow Benedict XVI be saved?
5) What are his feelings regarding other claimants to the Papal Throne?
Only a Pope canonically elected by true Catholics is a valid Pope. Other claimants to the throne were either mystically appointed, were elected by heretics and/or schismatics or did not adhere to the Canons of the Church in their election.
6) What is Pope Michaels daily life like?
A quiet, rural life. Study, prayer, other daily duties.
7) How large is his flock? How widespread, geographically?
Around 30 followers, some overseas.
8) How does the Vatican in Exile survive, financially?
9) Apart from the website, how does Pope Michael spread his message?
By mail, telephone and in person.
10) Any other comments/thoughts
One of Pope Michael's first official acts was the Consecration of Russia on August 22, 1992 to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, in union with all the faithful bishops throughout the world.
May God bless and guide you to a knowledge and acceptance of the truth!
